Oct '13 Catching the Vision

Are you fed up or saddened by all the boarded up windows

and Closed or For Sale signs on our High Street?

On October 13th 2013 All Saints Parish Church held a special service for
the regeneration of Bingley

CATCHING THE VISION

At Catching the Vision over 200 local people came together and prayed for shops, businesses, traders, market stalls, pubs, restaurants, clubs, garages, places of recreation, schools, streets and houses.
For too long, now, Bingley has lived under the shadow of the empty and crumbling Bradford & Bingley building and, what feels like, empty promises that something amazing for the people is going to happen on that site. This overshadowing seems to shape the rhetoric and for too long, we’ve watched businesses struggle to survive, let alone eke out a living.
There have been a lot of losses over the years and this has impacted trade and the life of our High Street.
Bingley is beautiful and deserves more than this. Together, let’s change the rhetoric and work for a new vision for Bingley and let’s put our prayer into action.

Be part of something extraordinary in this place

THE POST-IT WALL

There was a Post-it Wall where we wrote down our ideas for a better Bingley.  These were collected up after the service and presented to the politicians and planners and are now available here to view:
