Christmas chimes on Aire in air
Winter-whitened Throstle Nest
Frosted setts in market square.
Fairy wood and Five Rise vaulter
Christmas snow blows through the valley,
Mistle-crowning Druid’s Altar
Painting white Treacle-Cock Alley.
Christmas crowns our market town,
Brightly shines the Eldwick Ridge
Beyond the snowflakes floating down
To water under Ireland Bridge.
